The Ogun State Police Command has granted bail to the hip-hop artist, Habib Okikiola, a.k.a Portable, who was requested to report himself at the nearest police station over a viral video where he was seen ordering that a man identified as D.J Chicken be attacked.

Habib reported at the command’s headquarters Eleweran, Ogun State, on Wednesday 29th June 2022, according to the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi.

“The artist reported at eleweran at about 5 pm with his father and manager. He was immediately ordered to be taken to the public complain bureau office by the commissioner of police, CP Lanre Bankole, where he was interrogated about his role in the assault of the boy in the video.

“However, since the offence committed is a bailable one, and coupled with the strike action embarked upon by the civil servants in the state which also affected our courts, the suspect was released to a reliable surety who promised to produce him anytime he is needed.

“Meanwhile, the assaulted victim has also been invited to come and state his own side of the story to enable the command complete her investigation on time.

Portable rose to fame after featuring Afro Hop Artist Olamide in a single that dominated the airways for a long time.

Though some people though portable will fade away like many artists before him, he has used his new found fame to showcase what some of his detractors refer to as "his Lagos street boy life".

He recently welcomed another baby with his baby mama and despite his streetboy persona shows the appearance of being a dotting father and caring partner. This is evidenced by how much affection he showers on mother and child.
