Funke Akindele and JJC Skillz separate

Nigerians woke to a shocking post by Abdul Bello, aka JJC Skillz, husband to Nollywood actor and producer Funke Akindele, announcing their separation after 7years of marriage.

This news left a very sour taste in the mouth of Nollywood fans because yet again, another Nollywood marriage crashes. Funke is a Nollywood darling and her marriage was one of the many things she was admired for.

However, no matter how loved she is, some of her colleagues and former colleagues have come for her following the announcement of her separation by her husband.

The couple has a set of twins and just last week, on father's day, Funke posted a very endearing message celebrating her husband, 'baba ibeji' as she calls him for being a great father.

What could have happened within one week?

Well, according to JJC SKillz, trouble did not just enter their paradise, in his post: "the last two years have been extremely difficult for us. I know I have tried my best to fix things but I believe it is beyond repair now."

He said he moved out of their house on Funke's orders 3 months ago and has not gotten her to have a conversation with him since then. 

Nigerian men are infuriated by the situation saying it is the reason men are not willing to settle for independent women raising questions about a man moving into a woman's house.

On twitter, a handle @drpenking shared his views that '...there's no way he should have packed into Funke's house'.

He continues:

Meanwhile, several celebrities have waded into the matter with OAP Toolz clapping back at people who are blaming Funke outrightly for whatever happened in their marriage. However, she ended her tweet by saying "...ladies, don't get too successful o".

In the meantime, Funke is yet to respond or react to her husband's post and Nigerian's are eager to see how everything plays our, after all, they're not the first.

Just last week, Chacha Eke-Faani also posted about her separation from her husband Austin Faani.
